3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and operate the platform; (b) process payments and issue certificates; (c) communicate about your account, courses, and support requests; (d) improve our content and user experience; (e) prevent fraud, abuse, and exam misconduct; (f) comply with legal obligations; and (g) send service-related and, with your consent, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Where applicable, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (delivering your course), legitimate interests (improving the service, preventing fraud), consent (marketing communications, optional cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the service.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform — including hosting, payment processing, email delivery (Resend), and analytics — and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
7. Public Certificate Verification
Certificates we issue are publicly verifiable via a unique URL on our verification page. The verification page displays the holder's name, the course name, and the issue date. By earning a certificate, you consent to this public display. If you wish to revoke public verification, contact support.
8. Data Retention
We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide certificate verification. Records required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance are retained for the period required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account at any time, subject to those legal retention requirements.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to address vulnerabilities promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect personal data transferred internationally.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
13. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies separately.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
